The Canada Greener Homes Loan Program supports Canadians in making their homes more energy-efficient and comfortable. This program provides interest-free financing along with the Canada Greener Homes Grant to help cover the costs of major retrofits recommended by your energy advisor.

The loan is available exclusively for financing eligible products and installations that are recommended by an energy advisor and qualify for the grant.

To start your project, part of the loan can be provided upfront, helping cover contractor down payments. The remaining balance will be released upon successful completion of the retrofits and verification through a post-retrofit evaluation.
